Husky Hunks a a homage to husky men. There's just no other way of putting it. The site is run by one guy who started the site in 1999 because he wanted to show the world how hot husky guys and men are. It's a scrapbook really featuring men that turn this webmaster on. It's a cross between a homepage and a paysite. Husky Hunks is not really a gay bear porn site, although there are many bears and bearish guys on the site; but there are also a great many muscular guys, who are bulky and beefy rather than lean and ripped, and husky guys who haven't quite reached the bear stage yet. And the guys vary in age – twenties, thirties, and forties. But he does show us just how hot the husky man can be from the cock-hungry jock to a cigar-smoking daddy, and everything inbetween.

Husky Hunks is divided into four main areas. The Models section features stock photography shot by other photographers or even gay porn studios, like Hot Desert Knights. But the problem in relying on stock photography is that not everyone out there shares our love of the husky man, so photo sets can be few and far between. It can be hard to keep a website current when you're relying on the whims of other photographers, so the webmaster shoots a lot of his own content. He features an entire section devoted to his own sexual escapades that he shoots and performs in. There are over 360 clips in this section alone. Husky Hunks has recently gone through a redesign and I have to say that it's improved the site. There wasn't really anything wrong with the site before, but this version provides us a lot more eye candy per click. The site is nicely design with blues and greys. Top navigation makes it really easy to find whatever your looking for on Husky Hunks. The content of the site is divided into four main areas: amateur men (non-professional pictures), the webmaster (pictures and videos of the site's webmaster and his sexual escapades), models (stock photography), and video clips (amateurs doing their thing on video). This makes it really easy to zero in on the kind of stuff you like best.

The biggest draw of Husky Hunks has to be the sheer volume of content featuring amateur men. The webmaster himself is an amateur performer, filiming his own videos and often performing in them. They are homemade videos and they have a non-professional feel to them. Don't get me wrong, they're good quality, completely watchable, and more than a few of them have helped me dump a load on the floor beneath my desk.

I love gay porn stars with their good looks, ripped bodies, and there perfect sex. Who doesn't? But sometimes it's just a whole lot hotter watching regular, everyday guys going at it. I just finished watching a scene from a gay porn movie that a studio wants me to review for The Pig. I don't really have much negative to say about the site; it's a well-thought out site. One thing that I found a bit frustrating was the way the amateur men section was organized. Initially a page of thumbnails leads to dozens of galleries, each thumbnail to a different gallery of around a hundred pictures. However, the thumbnail doesn't necessarily reflect what's inside, and indeed, that particular picture isn't even inside. I tend to like things organized, so I would probably have put all the bearded men in one gallery, cock pumpers in another, pierced men in another, etc., just so that people like me can find more of what they like. But there are probably just as many people out there who like the haphazard approach to surfing gay porn – every click brings new and unknown pictures. It makes the hunt so much more exciting. But I'm a Virgo and we don't like exciting, we like predictable.

The webmaster's homemade video clips are in QuickTime format. I'm not used the QuickTime player and it didn't seem to have a stop button, so more than once I accidentally closed the whole browser when I didn't want to finish watching a clip. I think it would make for a more enjoyable experience on Husky Hunks if the video clips opened in a new browser window; that way you don't lose your place.

I really like Husky Hunks a lot. It's a fantastic site that features exactly the type of guy that I'm into. And I love the variety of guys, so if you're not into stocky, younger guys, just move to the next picture where you'll see a football player; a big, beefy daddy; a dirty mechanic; a muscle head, whatever. There are so many different guys on the site there really is something for everyone. And this webmaster is a pig. He likes it raunchy and nasty, and he's not afraid to put himself out there for us to watch. Husky Hunks is a refreshing change from the studio-produced, perfect gay porn or the "guy sitting on a couch and jacking off" stuff that we've become so used to seeing on the Web.
