High Def Twinks is one of the most recent high-definition gay porn sites to invade the marketplace. And while the high-definition is first class, unfortunately, this is not really a twink site. If you like watching young guys having gay sex, you'll be fine. But if you're a true twink fans, you're going to be disappointed. By definition twinks are 18-21 years of age, under-developed and very skinny, hairless, and boyish looking. And while there are a few guys on the High Def Twinks that fit the criteria, most of the guys don't. Twinks do not have facial hair, even if it's only three day's worth of scruff, and they definitely don't have body hair. And I even saw a couple of guys who were a little chubby or too old to be called twinks in their wildest dreams.

This is a shame because the content is really good. High Def Twinks offers high-definition video content that is crystal clear. And it truly is a high-definition site. All of the content was created exclusively for High Def Twinks and they currently feature a lot of Eastern European guys. So, if you like uncut cock and foreskin, you're going to love this site. I think High Def Twinks is still worth a look just know going in that you're going to be seeing young guys and not twinks.

The High Def Twinks member's area is easy to navigate and cleanly designed. Top of screen navigation lets you surf through the site easily without getting lost or confused. They separate all of the video and photo content into separate areas even though they feature the same guys. I prefer to have a gallery featuring both the videos and photographs of a given model. A lot of times I can tell by the photos that I'm not interested in seeing a video. The High Def Twinks set up means you have to flip back and forth. You can download the videos in high, medium, and low resolutions, depending on your Internet connection, and they're available in both Windows Media Player and QuickTime formats. I have a high-speed connection and it only took about 20 minutes to download a high-quality video, and that's good considering that the video is high-definition and excellent quality.

The content itself was quite impressive. I'm guessing that I've never experienced true high-definition before because I've never seen videos as clear as the ones on High Def Twinks. The most impressive thing about the site was the scaleable videos. Once I downloaded them, I grabbed my video player and started resizing the video. Normally you'll experience some degradation in the video quality the larger you resize, but I was able to enlarge their videos to fill my entire 21-inch monitor and the movie was still crystal clear. This is impressive. Other so-called high-definition sites should be ashamed. High Def Twinks and High Def Gay Sex set a new standard for quality.

High Def Twinks gives you the option of streaming or downloading the videos, which is always a great option. The videos are available in Windows Media Player and QuickTime format, and you can even download movies for your iPod. I particularly like the download option because it lets us build up our own private video collections. The photos themselves are just as large and clear, which I always like because it allows me to make desktop wallpaper.

The High Def Twinks member's area offers 31 videos and photo galleries (at the time of this review) and they add a new video every week. They also give you access to twink plugins Czech Boys, Twink Elite, Young Elite, Twinks for Cash, First Times, Twinks on Parade, and Boys in Briefs, and over 50 more video products. That gives a lot of extra value to your membership dollar. These plugins feature a wide variety of guys and aren't just limited to the realm of twinks.

High Def Twinks got it wrong when they called themselves a twink site. And that's too bad. Hopefully they'll begin bringing their content more in line with the true definition of twink. And if they do, watch out, because their high-definition video sizzles. If you're not so hardlined in your love of twinks, you'll have a good time on this site. There's a lot of cute young guys and the gay sex is hot.

High Def Twinks also falls short in their member's area thumbnails. They didn't take the time to make clear and properly sized thumbnails, but instead, simply imported and resized the enlarged pictures on the fly. This means that you get a lot of fuzzy thumbnails that don't allow you to preview the action before clicking for an enlarged photo. And because the site is downloading all of the enlarged photos on the thumbnail page, it makes for a very slow downloading page. They're also using bitmaps instead of jpegs and since bitmaps are larger-sized files, this slows things down even further.

Aside from the twink issue, High Def Twinks lost most of its marks in the quantity of content category. A fairly new site, High Definition Twinks only scores 4 points on The Pig's scale with its 31 videos. (Sites with over 100 galleries get a full ten points.) However, because they offer over 50 plugin video products, I bumped their score up to 8 points.

The quality of the high-definition video on High Def Twinks is definitely worth the price of admission. You'll be impressed with these large-screen, crystal clear videos. There's nothing hotter than jacking off to a video that completely fills your monitor. And if you like foreskin, there's a lot of it on the site. And while High Def Twinks isn't a bareback sex site, there is some barebacking on it. So while High Def Twinks missed the twink mark, they sure did get a lot of other stuff very right.
