Bearbound is a very unique bear site featuring hot hairy men and bears in bondage scenes. It's one of the few sites out there that deals specifically with bears and rope bondage. In fact, I think it's the only one. Academy Men also portrays domination and male bondage scenes, but they have more of a penchant for uniformed men. But Bearbound showcases its photos and videos with hairy muscle bears, daddies, big-bellied bears, bear cubs, and everything in between.

If you're new to the BDSM / gay bondage scene, you'll have to adjust your ideas away from the traditional gay porn site. In fact, Bearbound really isn't a porn site at all – it's a male bondage site. Bearbound is more about showcasing the ropework of site originator Dart, and other bondage masters like Master Gagger, Master Rob. These bear men aren't tied up haphazzardly; these bondage masters are showing us the skill with which they subdue and restrain their willing victims. In spite of its narrow focus, I still gave Bearbound five pigtails on the OINK scale because it is a great site. It's not for everyone, but male bondage enthusiasts are going to love it. Bearbound knows its niche and they present their content and material well, so they deserve five OINKs.

Bearbound is very simply designed and laid out. As one might expect, the site is designed in black and grey. They have resisted the cliched browns, beiges, and yellows that we're accustomed to seeing on most bear sites, instead Bearbound aligns their colour scheme more with the leather / fetish side of things. Top of site navigation keeps you from getting lost or confused. And the Bearbound content is arranged in photo galleries and video galleries. Bearbound is a pleasure to cruise through, allowing you to really enjoy the pictures and videos.

Obviously the stand out feature of Bearbound is the content itself. You simply will not find this much bear and male bondage content anywhere else on the Web. And it's all shot exclusively for the site. They feature a variety of men from cute, cuddly bear cubs to big-bellied bears, and lots of beefy, hairy men. The content is available in both photo galleries and videos in QuickTime format, which stream really quickly. I was amazed at how fast these videos started up. Not every photo set has an accompanying video, but there are over 248 videos clips in the Bearbound library. And their 800 photo galleries will keep your cock hard as you explore your kink.

The videos feature a number of different themes like uniforms, hostage and kidnapping type scenarios, captured cops, leather men, hog-tying, mummification, tied-up cowboys, and intruders, so there's a lot of variety. I would like to see Bearbound enlarge the size of their videos. Most of what I saw were still the smaller 320 x 240 pixel viewing areas. And with a lot of sites now offering videos as large as 640 pixels wide, and with larger computer monitors becoming the norm, Bearbound's videos are looking a bit on the small side. The other thing that didn't appeal to me personally was the lack of sex. This is partially due to obscenity and other laws that prohibit showing bound and restrained people having sex. Lawmakers don't want people marketing full-fledged rape and abuse videos as fetish content. And the larger problem is how you show consent in a bondage video and was it really consent. But I still think that Bearbound could offer some non-bondage sex videos and still keep the site appealing to its bondage enthusiasts. There were a lot of guys on the site that I would have really enjoyed watching jack off, getting a blowjob, or having full-on gay sex. But I have to admit that bondage isn't really my kink, and so real male bondage fans might see the addition of non-bondage, sexual material as a dilution of the kind of stuff they really want to see.

If you're a bondage fetishist, you're going to absolutely love this site. The photography and video work is good quality. And Bearbound gives us a good look at various Masters doing their craft. The men are hot and there's a variety of them from big-bellied bears to more muscular and beefy hairy men.
