 On April 3 COLT Studio Group announced the renewal of a multi-year contract with Carlo Masi and Adam Champ. The announcement took the gay adult industry by surprise as scarcely three months earlier Masi and Champ announced that they were leaving the COLT family. On January 11, the real-life couple said in their press release: "We couldn’t find a [monetary] agreement that made both parties happy [and] both I and Adam wanted more control of our image." Champ and Masi headed off to Italy, Spain, and Argentina for a number of personal appearances through January and February, and to weigh their options for the future. But the departure of the two gay porn stars from the studio left fans and member's of Masi's and Champ's websites in limbo. COLT Studio Group is the owner of not only images and videos of Carlo Masi and Adam Champ, but COLT retains ownership of the stars' websites, blogs, and e-mail addreses.
"For this reason we are not currently doing web shows," Masi and Champ said in their press release. And then, after a three-month hiatus, Masi and Champ are back with the studio. Complete details of the new agreement were not disclosed, however, COLT said, "Carlo and Adam will continue their partnered COLT fan websites along with a multi-scene/multi-year contract in front of the iconic studio’s lenses."Carlo Masi has been with COLT Studio Group since his first feature Big 'n Plenty in 2004. He broke his COLT cherry in a scene with COLT legend Karim. In this new arrangement with COLT Studio Group, Masi has been christened “COLT Man Emeritus” for his long history and full body of work, along with his continued contribution to the COLT brand. Adam Champ’s first appearance was with fellow COLT Man Chris Wide in the COLT feature Naked Muscles: The New Breed in 2007. He has a new COLT feature entitled Massive due out this summer.
