- Mirage is the latest blockbuster, two-disc movie from Raging Stallions Studio's director Chris Ward. And with over six hours of video (including bonus features) it certainly gives our DVD players a pretty big bang. And with a line-up of hot men like Jake Deckard, Dirk Jager, Tamas Eszterhazy, Steve Cruz, and Matthieu Paris, you're pretty much guaranteed some hot sex. And if you like your gay porn movies with more than "your rent is late" kind of plots, then Mirage might be up your alley. Chris Ward sets this latest movie in the Egyptian desert where a band of tomb raiders are in search of a golden idol buried deep in an previously undiscovered tomb.
I had mixed feelings about reviewing Mirage. I love Jake Deckard and Dirk Jager, so I was looking forward to seeing them in action, but I'm just not a big fan of Huessein. I know a lot of men like him – he's one of the hairiest men on the planet and he fucks like a jackhammer – but he was just never really my cup of tea. (I did, however, enjoy watching him fuck Bo Knight in Knight After Night. But you're never going to like every cast member in a gay porn movie, so I just set my mind towards the hunky and gorgeous Jake Deckard. And besides there are over ten scenes in this movie, so if one scene doesn't grab you another one will.
The first scene opens in the tomb and the gang of raiders have broken into the tomb and they’re looking for the golden statue. It's supposed to have magical powers. After much hunting and reading of hieroglyphics, someone finds the statue.
A bit of a tussle ensues as everyone grabs for it. But hairy man Huessein ends up grabbing it; and he runs away from the group and jumps up onto a stone sarcophagus. With American Idol drama, we're prompted to put in the next disc to see if Steve and Jake survive. The problem is that this happier time was from Lords of the Jungle where the two were stranded on a deserted island. Clever way to work extra footage from one movie into another, but as far as storyline continuity goes, it's weak.
