Next Door Male was one of the first sites that I ever joined. I fell in love with its simplicity, and of course, the guys. Next Door Male features straight guys pounding their meat for the camera. And unlike Sean Cody's guys, who seem to be too metrosexual, or Randy Blue's guys, who are more jocky, circuit boy types, the Next Door Male guys have a little more edge to them – they're a little more straight. The kind of straight guys that you'd truly find living next door, but also the kind of straight guys that might give you a bit of a hard time if you came onto them.
I haven't visited Next Door Male for a while, so when I decided to look them up for this review I was immediately greeted by Ethan. He's the dark-haired hung to the left. - Next Door Male is easy to get around and with top of screen navigation, you can't get lost. When you log in you're immediately presented with the latest six "neighbours" making their appearance on the site. A simple click takes you to a bio page featuring a couple of pictures of the guy, links to his movies and picture galleries, and a short bio. Even once you're deep into the model galleries, you're never more than a click away from getting back to the main inventory page of guys. The site is nicely and simply designed with classic blue, grey, and white, and just a touch of red for highlights. The photos in the picture gallery are large and clear. And each page features "back" and "forward" buttons; or if you prefer, you can set up a slide show and view all of the pictures with a five-second delay between transitions. The video clips are available in QuickTime and Windows Media Player format. And I found that the QuickTime movies started streaming right away, whereas with the Windows Media files, I had to wait for them to download (at least in Firefox).
- Standout Features
- By far the stand out feature on Next Door Male are the guys themselves and how beautifully they're photographed and presented. But Next Door Male has a couple of nifty features. First, if there's a particular model who turns your crank and you'd like to see him doing something else, Next Door Male is open to hear your suggestions and requests. (I'm going to start a campaign to position Ethan in his first gay blowjob.)
Another cool thing on Next Door Male, which I have never seen offered anywhere else, is their personalized video feature. You can order, and they will custom shoot, a video of your favourite guy doing whatever you request (within reason, I imagine). Mind you at $750 a pop, they're not cheap, but you'll get your very own 30-minute video, featuring the guy of your choice, doing whatever you specify. Now I could really go for a video of Ethan jacking his big chubby cock and talking dirty to me. - The thing that I didn't like about Next Door Male is that their model photo galleries weren't very large; on average, each has about 35 pictures. I know that video clips are really where it's at, but I enjoy looking at the moments captured in still photography. I love looking for the perfect picture for new desktop wallpaper. And I love scanning through the thumbnails, looking for the hottest shots. I'd also be happier if the video clips were larger, but that seems to be a common complaint of mine with most websites.
